Trinidad and Tobago Determined To Play Key Role In Guyana’s Oil & Gas Industry

After 109 years as a leader in oil production among Caricom member countries and sequential decrease in oil and gas production in the past few years, Trinidad and Tobago is hoping to export its energy expertise to Guyana.

ExxonMobil’s discovery of between 800 to 1.2 billion barrels of oil in its offshore Stabroek block has garnered the attention of Trinidad and Tobago and many other countries internationally.

ExxonMobil will intends to developing and marketing the crude and associated gas on its own account however neighbouring Trinidad is aspiring to become a service companies to help it in the development process.

Trinidad’s Energy Chamber has been quick-witted enough to arrange an Oil and Gas Conference in Guyana later this month–from March 27-29–at which the opportunities in Guyana energy will be fully ventilated.
