British Virgin Islands Police Department reported that the vehicle the victims were in was on the West End public road in the area of the graveyard around 9:30 PM when at least two scooter riders rode up to it and fired indiscriminately.

The 11-year-old girl who was shot and killed on Wednesday night has been identified as Trinity Azaria Moses of Huntums Ghut, while the second victim was revealed to be 41-year-old Tortola native, Frankly Penn.

The double murder has angered many within the community, forcing some to call for an extension of the curfew, which currently runs from 11:00 pm to 6:00 am.

A third victim, the deceased child’s mother, Ramona Moses, was also shot and remains hospitalized. Guyanese Romona Moses, 36, the mother of Trinity, underwent surgery yesterday November 23, 2017 at Peebles Hospital and has shown signs of improvement, according to hospital and family sources.
